GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE WEDNESDAY 30TH MARCH 2022
Combined agents yarded 2,498 head yesterday, comprising of 1,377 steers, 815 heifers, 211 cows, 80 Cows & Calves and 15 bulls. Cattle were penned from as far north as Clermont, Collinsville & Charters Towers, and the usual local areas. Quality and condition were generally good with several smaller runs and a couple of larger lines of grown steers and heifers on offer. The regular feeders and processors were in attendance although not all operated due to weather conditions around southern facilities. The report shows an easing throughout the sale, which has been the continued trend throughout for all other centres. Weaner Heifers met with strong competition throughout and held firm to dearer on last week’s prices.
