GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE WEDNESDAY 24th JANUARY 2024
The CQLX Gracemere Cattle Sales saw an increase in numbers this week with a total yarding of 2,998 head, consisting of 1,618 Steers, 1,008 Heifers, 273 Cows, 78 Cows & Calves & 21 Bulls. A strong buyer’s panel contributed to the average price of the sale strengthening by 4 cents across all categories compared to last week, this was driven by the Heifers which seen higher prices across all weight ranges. Prime cattle held firm on last week and in the steer market we seen the feeder and heavy steers strengthen while the lighter and weaner steers experienced a softer market today.
