GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE 27th SEPTEMBER 2019

The Gracemere Combined Agents presented 2088 head at CQLX; comprising of 1023 Steers, 709 Heifers, 242 Cows, 32 Bulls, and 18 Cow & Calf units. We saw a reduced yarding of predominantly local cattle as well as cattle from Proserpine, Middlemount and Moura. Prime cattle improved slightly with quality with the majority of other areas improving significantly due to an energetic buying panel.

J Roberston & J Sawtell, Mt Larcom – Sold Brangus Steers to top at 266c, weighing 335kg to return $893/hd. The consignment averaged 285c, weighing 421kg to return an average of $1202/hd.
G & J Chapman, Banana/Moura Properties – Sold a run of 137 Brahman Cross No.9 Steers to top at 268c, weighing 327kg to return $878/hd.  The No.9 steer consignment averaged 266c, weighing 287kg to return an average of $764/hd.

– Sold Crossbred Heifers to top at 236c, weighing 486kg to return $1149/hd.
WP, JR & JM Shannon, Goovigen – Sold Droughtmaster Cross Feeder Heifers for 240c, weighing 385kg returning $924/hd.
